About me
Principal of Tassajara Hills Elementary School in the San Ramon Valley Unified School District. Born in the Philippines to Filipino parents and immigrated to the United States with her family when her father, a member of the U.S. Navy, was stationed in the U.S. Growing up in a military family, Margrette moved frequently across the country before eventually settling in the San Francisco Bay Area. Her exposure to diverse cultures and communities sparked her interest in education. She earned a BA in Liberal Studies from CSU Hayward, a Multiple Subject Teaching Credential and a Reading Specialist Credential from St. Mary’s College, and a Master’s in Education from CSU San Marcos. Margrette lives in the Bay Area with her husband and their three children.
